The mere thought of any renovations to me is daunting to say the least. Decisions regarding the cabinet i.e. laminate or 2 pac, bench top i.e. laminate, granite or engineered stone, normal top mount or under mount sink, splashback i.e. tiles or glass, types of handles… The list goes on and on.

After some research and deciding on the type of kitchen and materials we wanted, we obtained several quotes and am very pleased that we chose Paul Keats. What made Paul Keats Kitchens stand out from the others was the modern technology used and the craftsmanship displayed.

Upon my meeting with Paul for a design and quote, I was pleasantly surprised by his punctuality, friendliness, professionalism and extensive product knowledge. He listened attentively to my needs and requirements and offered valuable ideas and suggestions. As promised by him, after a couple of days I was presented with 3D images of the kitchen and the quote.

After some modifications to the original plan and agreeing to the specifications, the kitchen was constructed in a timely manner. Paul was in contact with us frequently to inform us the stage and progress of the kitchen. Everything was done in the timeframe as stipulated by him.

Paul was meticulous and did not take any short cuts during installation. All cabinets fitted precisely, first time. All affiliated tradespersons conformed to the same high standard of service and quality.

My wife and I needed to completely renovate our kitchen due to flooding from the dishwasher and had no real idea of how to start. Paul Keats was our first contact due to being local. We obtained four quotes independently, and throughout the process Paul was undoubtedly the swiftest to respond and was the only one who provided us with a 3D computerised design. Not being trade oriented, it was much easier to see the end result in picture than 2D lines on a page.

Paul works diligently and honestly for his clients, providing solutions to your budget and design requirements. We would often receive emails early in the morning to late at night, always kept well informed of the process. Paul was always available to take our calls and provided optimal solutions every step of the way. The quality of his workmanship and design solutions were second to none!

Our kitchen is the envy of all our friends and family; nothing short of an amazing transformation. In fact, two of my friends were that impressed that they employed Paul to design and build their kitchens. And yes, they both are just as impressed with Paul’s management of their projects and the final result. The tradesmen recommended by Paul were very friendly and performed their tasks to the quality expected by the most particular of us. Nothing ever appeared to be a problem.

From previous experience, my wife & I knew what we were looking for when choosing a design/installation company to renovate our kitchen. We wanted a dedicated individual within the company with a proven track record who would be totally involved in all stages from concept, through design and installation of the new one. Out of several companies interviewed, Paul Keats stood out in all respects. We are elated with the finished product!

From the outset, Paul was most attentive to our input. His computerised 3D visualisations were invaluable in assisting us to assess the impact of proposed design changes, as was was his own experienced input. Even during the subsequent old kitchen demolition and new installation stages, Paul’s problem-solving skills easily overcame the inevitable unforeseen problems that arose.

In summary, Paul was able to transform a somewhat impractical, tired kitchen area into the aesthetic, user-friendly hub that it is today. Integrating all-new appliances and incorporating many innovative ideas that produced its modern streamlined look, yet increased our kitchen storage capacity by at least 300%.

Our renovations are now complete and I want to thank you for such a fantastic job. 

Right from the start when you came out to give us a quote, you gave us something that the other two companies who quoted, did not. That was the wealth of you experience and it showed itself in the ideas you had for the kitchen and the laundry specifically. You noted that I wanted a bookshelf for my cookbooks and yet we wanted it enclosed.  You came up with the idea of having two pull out book shelves, so that I can access the books easily from where I stand in the kitchen. It is superb.

The next idea was the movable shelf for the coffee machine that is stored in the appliance cupboard. It is out of sight, but very accessible and does not mark the granite. It was an excellent idea.

Next was the pull out drawer for the tea towels and kitchen towel, the spice drawer and the two drawers for cutlery and utensils. Always you were anxious that we had everything that we needed. You were constantly asking questions and thinking of ways to accommodate our wishes.

Another example was the microwave. Even though I was having two ovens, I still wanted to retain the microwave. You advised against having it in the oven stack as it would make it too high to ensure easy and safe access. As a consequence it was accommodated in another cupboard and you had a specifically reinforced shelf to accommodate its weight.  It all works out perfectly, thanks to you concern and insight.

In the laundry you suggested we move the washing machine to the other end of the room, next to the outside door and put the dryer on the wall above. That way you could make more bench space and cupboards.  It is so handy to have all that extra space.  I also love having the dryer vented through the roof.  It certainly reduces the humidity in the room. This was your idea, yet again.

The tradespeople you chose were also excellent. They were ever so accommodating, gave excellent service and were very clean, ensuring their mess was either swept or vacuumed every day. We could not have asked for more.

The quality of the renovations have been excellent and we have been delighted by how easy the process was.
